Summary:
Reporting to the VP (Vice President) of Residential Options, the Director of Residential Services is
responsible for housing programs which provide people who have different abilities opportunities to
live in a home-based environment—achieving the highest level of independence possible.
The Director ensures that our Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) sites and/or our
Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF/DD) and their 4-12 staff who care for up to 16 residents with
developmental disabilities and/or mental illness operate in accordance with state and federal
regulations and best practices; that residents thrive in a person-centered home environment; that
accurate and timely reporting and analysis on resident outcome statistics and trends are tracked; that
administrative and support needs are met; and that employees receive effective leadership while
promoting the desired Company culture and values

- Shift: Full-Time
- Hours: Flexible to the jobs demands.
- Pay Rate: $82,480 annually
- Location: Alton IL areas.
- Promote a culture of person-centered services for residents by providing quality care and services in a community-based setting to individuals with disabilities.
- Assist with individual development by encouraging, empowering and engaging residents in essential life and recreational activities to teach independent living, self-confidence, communication and practical skills.
- Recruit, screen, and interview prospective residents.
- Oversee the health and safety needs of all residentials ensuring that Human Rights Behavior Management Committee functions are completed and Residential Options policies are followed. Conducting investigations of allegations.
- Attend all staffing meetings and review IHP's or ISP/IATPs.
- Plan, organize, and supervise the delivery of care to residents.
- Ensure facilities are in healthcare regulations, maintain high occupancy levels, provide quality services while meeting the needs of residents and complying to agency agreements.
- Conduct regular management meetings and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Conduct monthly audits for each site and ensure CARF ( Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) and state regulations are in compliance. Assist administration in preparing for on-site visitation or surveys of the sites. Assist Clinical Director in overseeing the MRO program.
- Assist in the development of budgets and financial reports. Review budgets, monitoring and controlling labor, supply and home repair expenses for assigned locations. Advise managers on spending, meeting financial goals in established budgetary guidelines. Propose capital expenditure and submit capital expenditure requests.
- Manage group site in absence of manager and conduct training class per VP, manager or training department request. Assist in public relations for Residential Options.
- Lead team and place people in positions includes hiring, training and empowering leaders to effectively oversee areas of responsibility.
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate assigned sites activities and performance.
- Communicate job expectations

- Initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies and procedures.
- Mentor and develop the team through training, problem resolutions and performance evaluation.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Human Services Field (Social Work, Psychology, Education, Rehabilitation, Recreation Therapy, Sociology, Nursing Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field as approved by DHS
- Experience: 3+ years experience working with people with developmental disabilites (DD) or mental health (MH) disabilites and 3 years of supervisory experience. Or Masters degree in Human Services Field (QIDP qualifying) with 1 year of experience working with people with DD or MI and 1-year of supervisory experience.
- Background Checks: Must pass criminal background checks, various State and Federal registry checks, DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System check.
- Driving: must pass driving history beck, maintain a valid drivers license and be 25 years of age or older. Use of personal insured vehicle is required for Company related travel.
- Testing: Must pass state required CASAS literacy assessment prior to employment.
- Certifications: CPR, 1st Aid, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), Med Passing and DSP training provided by the company must be successfully completed within the first 4 months and annually thereafter to maintain the position
