Position Summary:

We are currently hiring a Staffing Specialist at the AOS Staffing Agency with opportunities for growth!. Reporting to the Staffing Manager, the Staffing Specialist will be responsible for assisting the staffing department by connecting people with different abilities and advantages with temp-to-hire employment opportunity to achieve the highest level of independence possible. 

Schedule Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm 
Shift: Full Time 
Salary:$19
Location: Saint Louis, MO. 
Setting: Office, after training some remote opportunities. 

Typical Duties:

  • Screens and places potential candidates at sites best suited to their skills, abilities, and interests
  • Promote a culture that advances the Company’s mission to provide work opportunities to individuals with disabilities and disadvantages.
  • Scouting and recruiting effective employees.
  • Conduct preemployment screenings, assessments, testing, reference checks, administer background checks and all necessary employment procedures needed upon job offer
  • Assist Staffing team with the hiring process as needed, including updating job postings, updating job descriptions, scheduling interviews, etc.
  • Assist with routing incoming department calls, time clock management data input and reports. 
  • Ensures all new-hire paperwork and documentation is complete and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with all team members and employees
  • Provides general customer service support
  • Conducts new-hire orientations (on-site as well as at commercial sites).
  • Assists with recordkeeping as assigned.
  • Help produce reports to track and demonstrate staffing performance to customers
  • Backs up Manager as needed. Assists with special projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED Preferred. 
  • Experience: 1+ years in staffing industry, customer service experience preferred. 
  • Background checks: Pass federal and state background check. Be at least 21 years or old and have a valid drivers license. Pass driving background checks.  Must pass DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System check. 
  • Use of personal vehicle for Company-related travel is required. 
  • Requires excellent written & verbal communication skills. 
  • Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
